Come join our GTE Financial team! We are looking for a self-motivated, leader, forward-thinking, detailed, tactical, strategic individual to join as a Lead Sr. Salesforce Specialist. The Lead Sr Salesforce Specialist owns the administration, optimization, governance, and strategic direction of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC). This role serves as the platform owner and lead subject matter expert, providing advanced application and technical support, guiding solution design, validating partner delivery, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring Salesforce aligns with business needs, operational priorities, security standards, and long-term platform strategy. The role provides technical leadership, influences cross-functional priorities, coordinates work across business teams, implementation partners, and vendors, and sets standards for Salesforce administration, delivery, documentation, support, and continuous improvement. What does GTE look for as a Lead Sr. Salesforce Specialist? Design and Develop:
  • Lead Salesforce FSC strategy, governance, and enhancements by partnering with business and Technology Solutions (TS) leaders to define scope, requirements, success criteria, standards, delivery approach, and priorities.
  • Configure Salesforce objects, workflows, permissions, automations, and data rules using platform best practices.
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, lead solution design discussions, identify risks and tradeoffs and validate work delivered by implementation partners or internal resources.
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership for Salesforce administration by reviewing configuration decisions, setting best practices, mentoring administrators or support resources, and ensuring work meets quality, security, and scalability expectations.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex Salesforce FSC issues, production support concerns, platform defects, integration impacts, and high-priority business requests.
  • Own platform governance practices, including configuration standards, documentation, release readiness, change control, user access, data quality, and alignment with internal risk and compliance requirements.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce FSC components including objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and user interface configurations.
  • Design and develop advanced flows and automation to support end-to-end operational processes across the credit union.
  • Configure permission sets, profiles, role hierarchy, and group membership to ensure secure and appropriate access.
  • Design and manage queues, routing rules, and assignment logic for efficient case and interaction handling.
  • Prepare an annual application plan for mission-critical or enterprise-level applications, including disaster recovery plans, and participate in testing those plans.
  • Lead the design and building of integrations between Salesforce and core banking platforms, digital channels, data warehouses, and third-party systems.
  • Define data mapping, transformation rules, and integration logic to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Own error handling, reconciliation, and exception management for integrated data flows to ensure data integrity and timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with middleware teams and external vendors to resolve integration defects or performance issues.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for Salesforce FSC stakeholders, coordinating delivery, issue resolution, prioritization, and platform communications across business teams, TS, and vendors.
  • Lead Salesforce FSC release management and platform upgrades, including roadmap planning, deployment planning, testing coordination, stakeholder communication, change readiness, and post release validation.
  • Maintain ownership of the Salesforce FSC roadmap, backlog, and enhancement pipeline by balancing business value, operational risk, technical complexity, compliance needs, and available capacity.
  • Participate in the TS on-call rotation to support employees with technical issues during extended and after-hours coverage.

  • Advanced cross-functional leadership and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence priorities, guide technical direction, coordinate work, and lead through expertise without direct management authority.
  • Ability to establish Salesforce administration standards, governance practices, documentation, release processes, and platform support procedures for an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and review the work of Salesforce administrators, analysts, technical resources, and vendors while remaining in an individual contributor capacity.
  • Advanced ability to think creatively and research via multiple channels to solve problems with varying degrees of difficulty.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with staff, management, and outside contacts.
  • Working understanding of business and system processes within multiple areas.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Excellent time management, with the ability to plan, organize, schedule, and implement projects in accordance with GTE and industry project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge and understanding to configure and implement system configurations using IT change management best practices.
  • Skilled at simulating, reviewing and testing system changes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of computer software and applications used to support report development including, but not limited to, SQL, Microsoft 365, and Visio.
  • General understanding of programming, database design and development, data sources and data feeds used to populate reports.
  • Experience executing regression, functional, stress, and negative testing, with knowledge of SDLC practices and quality assurance techniques.
  • Working knowledge of client server concepts and familiarity with various technologies used within the TS areas and the IT industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
  • Motivated to learn new business and technical concepts.
Operational Support:
  • Must demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
Required Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator certification required.
  • 5+ years administering Salesforce, including at least 3+ years in a senior administrator or platform owner capacity with responsibility for automation, security, data governance, release management, and enterprise platform support.
  • Salesforce FSC experience is required.
  • Prior experience leading Salesforce initiatives, guiding technical delivery, mentoring other administrators or technical resources, and serving as an escalation point for complex platform issues is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in credit union or financial industry is strongly preferred.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in IT, business, or equivalent educational or work experience.
Position Details:
  • Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
  • Department Hours: Monday- Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
Full-time hours required, with additional hours necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects. The position is defined as hybrid in nature, (in-office, or remote) and may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice, if possible. Required for Remote/Hybrid Work:

  • Some positions will require performance standards to be met to qualify for alternative work arrangements.
  • Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
  • Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
  • Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
  • Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.
