Job Title: QC Lab Technician

Work Model: 100% Onsite (5 days/week, 8 hours/day - No Weekend Shifts)

Reports To: QC Lab Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly capable and self-motivated QC Lab Technician to support incoming product testing activities and onboarding of a new product line (tissue products). The ideal candidate must bring strong, hands-on industry laboratory experience and technique-driven proficiency to perform Quality Control (QC) assays, environmental monitoring, and product testing with minimal training.

Core Responsibilities

  • Laboratory Testing & Assays: Perform routine QC testing, bioburden testing, direct inoculation, growth promotion, and membrane filtration on medical device products and environmental samples.
  • Instrumentation & Equipment Operations: Efficiently operate standard laboratory equipment, including micropipettes, pH meters, analytical balances, and UV spectrophotometers.
  • Instrument Validation & Documentation: Assist with writing, reviewing, and executing instrument validation protocols, test cases, and preparing technical validation documentation.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Visually inspect product samples for defects, issue defect notifications for out-of-specification (OOS) results, and ensure all activities adhere to strict safety practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Data Management & Entry: Accurately complete paper-based laboratory documentation and manage digital data entry across platforms such as LIMS (for environmental monitoring data) and SAP (for material management).



Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related Life Sciences discipline with strong hands-on industry experience, OR
    • Associate's degree with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience.


  • Core Technical Skills:

    • Demonstrated hands-on experience in microbiological testing methodologies (bioburden testing, direct inoculation, membrane filtration, and growth promotion).
    • Hands-on proficiency with micropipetting, operating pH meters, analytical balances, and UV spectrophotometers.
    • Strong technical writing skills for writing and executing validation protocols, test cases, and laboratory records.


  • General Skills & Capabilities:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to read, interpret, and follow complex technical manuals and testing protocols.
    • Capability to hit the ground running with minimal training on standard lab techniques.





Preferred Qualifications & Screening Criteria

  • Industry Experience: Prior industry laboratory experience (Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, or Cosmetics/Biotech) is strongly preferred over purely academic experience.
  • Validation Experience: Hands-on experience in instrument validation protocol development and execution.
  • Specialized Instrumentation: Knowledge or experience with mechanical testing equipment (e.g., Instron) is a strong plus.
  • Candidate Fit: Mid-level candidates seeking stability for the project duration (ideally candidates with 3 to 10 years of overall experience).
