If your skills and experience are a good match for this role please apply today. Job Duties Prepare and file federal, state, and multi-state individual, business, trust, estate, and gift tax returns. Perform quarterly and year-end tax planning for business and individual clients to identify tax-saving opportunities. Review financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate tax return preparation. Research tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with current federal and state tax requirements. Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer tax-related questions, and provide guidance. Serve as a tax subject matter expert for clients and non-tax staff. Assist clients with tax notices, audits, and correspondence from federal, state, and local taxing authorities. Maintain accurate client records and documentation within a paperless environment. Collaborate with accounting and advisory teams to deliver high-quality client solutions and exceptional customer service. Requirements Current CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) license, or active pursuit of certification. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of tax preparation experience in public accounting or a tax-focused environment. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and multi-state tax regulations for individuals and businesses. Thorough understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial statement analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, along with PDF and accounting software applications. Experience with QuickBooks and other tax/accounting software; UltraTax experience preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities with a client-focused approach. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working in a paperless, technology-driven office environment. High level of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
