Associate Research Professor: Pullias Center for Higher Education

The mission of the USC Rossier School of Education is to prepare leaders to achieve educational equity through practice, research and policy. We work to improve learning opportunities and outcomes in urban settings and to address disparities that affect historically marginalized groups. We teach our students to value and respect the cultural context of the communities in which they work and to interrogate the systems of power that shape policies and practices. Through innovative thinking and research, we strive to solve the most intractable educational problems.

The USC Pullias Center for Higher Education seeks a research professor who can manage large-scale research and service projects and translate data into actionable solutions for policymakers and institutions. As a research professor, the main role will be to oversee and manage the USC College Advising Corps, a project with an annual $3 million budget and over 30 staff. This is a very large project and needs significant oversight, management, and regular fundraising. We are currently working on obtaining grants to conduct studies of the College Advising Corps as well, which is a new direction requiring research-oriented skills. The research professor position will also work on similar projects related to the Pullias Center's mission of college access.

The responsibilities and requirements for a research professor generally include:
* Research & Project Leadership: Oversee and conduct higher education research studies and projects
* Fundraising: Write grant proposals, execute service agreements, and solicit gifts for research and projects.

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. or terminal degree in higher education, alongside deep knowledge of higher education literature.

The annual base salary range for this position is $130,000- $160,000.
