As a Chemical Engineer with the CPCCo, you will be an important part of the engineering team responsible for ensuring our workforce is able to safely reduce risks on the Hanford Site and make a real difference to the environment and community.

Under direction of organizational leadership, as a Chemical Engineer (Principal/Expert), your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Performing Engineering activities including those in support of, or as a qualified Design Authority for 100 Area and 200 Area S&GO Pump and Treat facilities.
* Writing reports, maintaining a spare parts inventory, investigating equipment issues, specifying equipment compliant with required standards and compatibility with chemical systems, generating and revising operating procedures, generating designs, generating calculations, and providing technical support to processing operations. All work to be performed in compliance with Engineering procedures.
* Interfacing with Operations personnel and monitor sample data.
* Overseeing chemical inventories and processes.
* Being knowledgeable of the safety basis for CPCCo facilities, as appropriate, to ensure technical work for assigned systems is compliant with safety basis documents.


Basic Qualifications


* Senior Level Grade 20: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with 10 or more years of relevant experience.

* Principle Level Grade 21: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with 12 or more years of relevant experience.

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* Experience supporting nuclear/radiological facilities.
* Experience with DOE Nuclear Safety requirements.
* Experience as Design Authority/System Engineer for operating nuclear facility.
* Professional Engineer (PE) License.
* Experience in process design.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on 40 hours per week:

* Senior Level Grade 20: $114,700 - $183,450.
* Expert Level Grade 21: $126,200 - $202,000.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
