About the Job

Summary:
The successful candidate will engineer genetic complex genetic circuits in human and insect cell lines. Part of this project will include building and testing alternative programmable transcription factors and Base Editors for the host of interest.

Essential Funcitons:
(35%) Molecular biology: The applicant will measure Base Editor activity in mammalian cells

(35%) Genome engineering: The applicant will use DNA assembly techniques to build genetic timekeeper designs

(30%) Data analysis: The applicant will independently interpret results to design follow on experiments

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry or related field, or a combination of education and work experience equal to four years.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $20 - $22/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment, temporary

Position Type: Civil-Service & Non-Faculty Labor Represented Staff
