Key Responsibilities:



  • Utilize CROW to enter, modify, and communicate outage-related information.
    * Build near-term models of the MISO Power System to support power flow, contingency, and stability analysis.
    * Evaluate system performance issues and prepare reports on transmission limitations, forecast assumptions, congestion management, and mitigation planning across multiple timeframes.
    * Lead operational planning analysis and collaborate with various service line groups.
    * Make decisions affecting project design, scheduling, and completion across departments.
    * Develop, review, and support the implementation of operating guides, agreements, and procedures for normal and abnormal conditions.


Required Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
    * Experience in an ISO/RTO, utility, transmission owner, or balancing authority environment.
    * Proficiency with power system analysis tools such as EMS, PSSE, TARA, or similar.
    * Knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards, operating procedures, and outage coordination processes.
    * Experience developing operating plans, conducting reliability assessments, and collaborating across teams.
    * Technical skills including steady-state simulation, transient stability (preferred), Python/SQL/VBA scripting, and understanding of NERC/FERC compliance requirements.

You will also need to be able to work a rotating 12 hour shift schedule.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is : $127,000-152,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
