As a Security Officer Patrol in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and/or contractor access as directed, and support site rules related to restricted areas, equipment zones, and operational spaces.
• Communicate with supervisors, local personnel, and/or first responders during routine operations or critical situations, while following post orders and client-directed procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
