It brings together planning, inventory, order management, and order execution capabilities into a unified global operating model that drives operational excellence and enables scalable growth across Lam's factory network.

The impact you'll make

The Manager, Global System Project Management serves as the global functional owner for System Project Management, responsible for defining, standardizing, and scaling SPM practices across the manufacturing network. This role provides functional leadership to site-based teams by driving alignment, consistent execution, and continuous improvement. The position partners with regional teams, manufacturing site stakeholders, and cross-functional leaders to strengthen functional effectiveness and business alignment.

What you'll do
  • Define and lead the global SPM functional strategy, operating model, roadmap, governance practices, and performance expectations.
  • Standardize core SPM processes, workflows, tools, roles, responsibilities, and ways of working across regions and manufacturing sites to support consistent operational execution.
  • Drive alignment across regional, manufacturing site, and global teams by partnering with stakeholders to ensure business needs are reflected in functional priorities and design.
  • Identify process gaps, regional variations, and inefficiencies, and lead continuous improvement efforts to simplify and optimize operations.
  • Develop scalable support models, training, onboarding, and documentation that improve consistency, knowledge transfer, and resource flexibility across sites.
  • Define and track key performance indicators to measure functional health, process adherence, capability maturity, and business impact.
  • Lead organizational change and best-practice sharing to build adoption, accelerate learning, and strengthen long-term SPM resiliency.
Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in operations, planning, supply chain, manufacturing, business operations, or related functions.
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives, process transformation, or functional standardization efforts.
  • Demonstrated success driving alignment across global, matrixed, or highly decentralized organizations.
  • Experience defining processes, governance models, roles and responsibilities, and operating mechanisms.
  • Strong process improvement and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complexity and drive sustainable change.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions, regions, and levels of the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership.
  • Experience developing metrics, dashboards, and business reviews to monitor performance and drive accountability.
Preferred qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, supply chain, or high-tech operations environments.
  • Experience leading global functional transformation or operating model redesign initiatives.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing site support models, regional operating differences, and global business process integration.
  • Experience building training frameworks, onboarding tools, and documentation for globally distributed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, A3, or similar structured approaches.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, planning tools, and operational reporting platforms.
  • Experience working with senior leaders to define strategy and translate it into executable functional plans.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
