Your Role in Our Team:
This Quality Engineer is responsible for a variety of rework, testing, data collections and analysis of our inventory to ensure the highest possible quality. They will set up, carry out, and oversee rework operations. They need to be able to quickly troubleshoot issues and solve problems to maintain constant operations. They should understand how the inventory flows through the distribution center, so all relevant inventory is ready and available when needed to fulfill the customer orders.
You will be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities:
- Quality Engineer will be Customer focus and Quality minded
- Maintain and uphold all safety standards and requirements
- Oversee and manage rework operations and technicians
- Develop & revise Quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions & other quality documents.
- Maintain database of sample measurements and data collections
- Develop inventory tracking & decision tree for disposition
- Lead and attend meetings with upper management to provide updates as needed/requested
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, inventory, etc... to establish specs and controls for certain inventory items
- Occasionally serve as a technical resource to troubleshoot problems.
- Create, monitor and closeout NCMR, SCAR, and 8D reports in Milwaukee's Quality Management System (QMS)
- Point of contact in the DC for battery and other tightly controlled products

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in field that supports Milwaukee needs & growth.
- Must have advanced problem-solving skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to interpret written test methods/procedures and complete controlled experiments
- Utilizing exploded diagrams and blueprints
- Ability to work under reduced supervision
- Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects
- Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word. PowerPoint and Outlook
- Desired:
- Leadership experience
- Knowledge of basic metrology methods and equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Project Management experience
