Summary:

The Manager of Performance Excellence will supervise and direct the core business activities of the CHRISTUS Performance Excellence Project Managers and Coordinators by ensuring Performance Excellence (PE) programs are developed, resourced, and executed in alignment with ongoing strategic imperatives. Collaborates with department leadership to develop project charters, plans/timelines and provide oversight on the allocation of the appropriate resources to ensure enhancement of the organization's core functions.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Supports the System Director of Performance Excellence with assigning program/project priorities in alignment with CHRISTUS Health initiatives.
  • Leads in preparation, coordination, and kickoff of large-scale Performance Excellence Engagements.
  • Oversight of all Programs/Engagements under the Performance Excellence Department.
  • Develops and Manages the Performance Excellence Department Programs, Project Management Office (PMO), and related functions.
  • Manages the coordination of internal resources and teams for the execution of complex projects and implementation plans.
  • Coaches/develops Performance Excellence associates in program and project management practices.
  • Works with Performance Excellence Leaders to establish work priorities and ensures the development of comprehensive project plans to track and report progress.
  • Directs and develops fully evolved project management skills with an emphasis on communication and building relationships across multiple large-scale projects.
  • Provides project management and resource management support for initiatives identified.
  • Coordinates and Manages allocation and utilization of Performance Excellence resources.
  • Leads teams, work groups, projects, and activities designed to improve operational performance and processes.
  • Provides support and consultation to Performance Excellence associates on the preparation of documents, diagrams, and presentations which illustrate findings to present at all levels of associates and leadership as well as external audiences.
  • Research opportunities for performance excellence, establish plans, and manages projects as assigned by the department leadership team, with responsibility for meeting deadlines.
  • Ensures team resources are adequately allocated to strategic projects.
  • Creates, implements, and provides oversight of Performance Excellence Department Policy and Procedures.
  • Must be proficient with Project and Program Management methodologies.
  • Must have the ability to serve as a productive member and leader of the team.
  • Must be able to work full-time in a hospital, clinic, or office environment.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of associates across the organization.
  • Must be able to facilitate cross-functional team projects.
  • Must be exceptional teaching, speaking, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills


  • Master's degree in business/Healthcare Administration or other healthcare-related advanced degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in business/Healthcare Administration in conjunction with 10+ years of experience in a healthcare setting.

Experience


  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare setting required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications


  • None required.

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
