The Engineering Technician is responsible for performing repairs, supporting field operations, and providing hands-on technical expertise for critical program activities. This role ensures timely completion of repair work, maintains system availability, and supports revenue-generating program milestones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on repair, inspection, and refurbishment of system components, including:
    • Tubes (7 units currently in backlog)
    • Nosecones (9 units currently in backlog)
  • Diagnose failures, execute repairs, and validate functionality to return assets to service.
  • Reduce existing repair backlog and ensure steady throughput of depot activities.
  • Support field site operations by improving pod availability and helping maintain KPI targets.
  • Coordinate with engineering and supply chain teams to resolve technical or material issues impacting repair timelines
  • Provide on-site technical support for program activities, including scheduled travel events.
  • Execute mechanical tasks such as hanger band replacement on TSPI pods.
  • Ensure readiness for the August 2026 support event and meet all schedule commitments.
  • Collaborate with program teams to minimize downtime and ensure continued operational capability.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in mechanical, aerospace, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical repair, depot maintenance, or similar technical work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience supporting field service or travel-based technical assignments preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Cubic Pay Range:

$30.00 - $33.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
