This is a hybrid position based in our New York office, offering a balance of in-office collaboration and remote work.
We are looking to add an Accounting Cashier / Senior Post Closing Specialist to our team. In this role, you will provide administrative support associated with preparing commercial loan packages for transfer to purchasing financial institutions. Responsibilities include auditing post-closing documents, depositing funds, recording transactions, reconciling files, and ensuring the timely delivery of closing and collateral documents. You will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of the post-closing process while supporting exceptional service for our customers and business partners.

What You'll Do

As an Accounting Cashier / Senior Post Closing Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of commercial real estate transactions. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will:

  • Perform detailed post-closing reviews of complex loan packages to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and lender guidelines.
  • Audit closing packages, reconcile files and funds, process recordings, and support the accurate transfer of loan packages to purchasing financial institutions.
  • Track closed loan files, maintain accurate records, and update information within company operating systems.
  • Scan, index, review, log, and distribute closing and trailing documents while ensuring timely delivery of collateral packages.
  • Communicate with customers, lenders, and internal partners to obtain information, answer questions, and support a seamless closing experience.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for the team by sharing knowledge, assisting with complex issues, and helping maintain best practices.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in title insurance, escrow, post-closing, or a similar mortgage or real estate environment preferred.
  • Experience in title insurance and commercial real estate transactions preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A customer-focused mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with business systems and the ability to quickly learn new technology.
  • Knowledge of state and federal mortgage lending regulations and industry best practices preferred.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and contribute to a high-performing team.
