Position Summary Position Summary: The Global Account Manager proactively leads the account management of specific global customer account(s) within Parker's Global Sales Force and Energy Market Facing Team, with a primary focus on oil and gas customers, on a unified, multi-group basis to develop solution strategies that fit customer needs and maximize sales and profitability. Builds a positive image of Parker at assigned global accounts and actively supports the Corporation's Win Strategy. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: ____ Has Direct Reports x Does Not Have Direct Reports Direct and coordinates global customer-based activities and strategies with other Parker sales organizations, manufacturing divisions and engineering entities. Account responsibility will be global with a "dotted line" relationship to account managers/sales company sales managers serving global accounts in other countries. Essential Functions:
Responsible for managing global customer accounts, relationships and agreements on a global basis. Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provides reports, on a regular and/or monthly basis. Keeps management and sales personnel aware of changes affecting the customer's industry as well as engineering, sales and distribution of Parker products. Leads the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies Develops, coordinate, and negotiates global long-term agreements, including terms and conditions and pricing, by bringing together Parker groups and divisions and aligning individual P&L objectives to support a cohesive global customer strategy. Responsible for gathering, interpreting, and disseminating forecast market data provided by sales personnel and company marketing programs. Implement strategies to recognize new revenue and margin opportunities. Builds and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by directing the necessary Parker resources to meet customer needs and solutions on a global basis. Coordinates all ongoing customer issues, commercial issues, platform engineering issues and communication issues. Formulates and develops comprehensive business plan for each account to address:
Formulates and directs strategy deployment plan to tie to Group's and trading subsidiaries business plans. Coordinates and communicates worldwide systems engineering activities.
Qualifications:
B.S. or B.A. degree required, technical degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in major account management, business management, or a related commercial leadership role. Previous successful P&L responsibility is a plus. Extensive experience selling to large OEMs is preferred. Experience leading cross-functional, multi-business-unit coordination and negotiating commercial agreements. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and actionable messaging. Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority within Parker. Executive presence and strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop trust with customers, internal groups, and leadership teams. Global acumen and the ability to build and manage high-level customer relationships across regions. Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Extensive knowledge of Parker's organization and technologies, with the ability to lead the achievement of unified Parker solutions. Ability to travel internationally up to 10%.
