The Business Manager plays a key role in enabling efficient, aligned, and data-driven operations within the VIMN organization. Acting as a central coordination point for leadership, engineering teams and global regions. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence across resource planning, budgeting, workforce management, and organizational governance while ensuring consistency, transparency and accountability for all activities. In addition to supporting daily execution, this role contributes directly to leadership decision-making through reporting, analysis and structured planning processes. This position operates at the intersection of business operations, executive support and program coordination requiring a high degree of autonomy, judgment and cross-functional influence. Key Role Responsibilities Resource & Workforce Management
- Own and manage engineering manpower budget, tracking, and allocation
- Lead workforce planning activities across global regions (North America, India, Mexico) including:
- Workload tracking and capacity planning
- Resource forecasting and allocation optimization
- Coordinate hiring processes:
- Candidate evaluations and interview coordination
- Supplier resource assessments and contractor onboarding
- Ensuring alignment of staffing strategies with business priorities and budget targets
Operational Planning & Governance
- Lead weekly leadership operating reviews (VP, Directors, Executive Admin)
- Track execution progress, key priorities, and open actions items across teams
- Provide regular reporting on manpower status, budget performance, and operational health
- Support annual goal setting, KPI development and performance tracking
- Establish and enforce structured operating rhythms and governance processes to ensure organizational discipline.
Systems, Tools & Data Management
- Maintain and improve operational tools and tracking systems (e.g., workload trackers, planning files)
- Manage SharePoint resources and organizational documentation in coordination with support staff
- Standardize processes and reporting frameworks to drive efficiency and consistency
- Leverage data to provide insights that support decision making and continuous improvement
Onboarding, Training & Organizational Support
- Lead onboarding initiatives, including maintaining onboarding processes and tools (e.g., New Hire Playbook) to ensure effective integration of new hires
- Manage training tracking and coordinate internal knowledge-sharing sessions
Employee Engagement & Team Support
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, including:
- Team-building events and volunteer activities
- Recognition programs and internal communications
- Partner closely with VP and Executive Admin to drive organizational priorities and culture activities
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field(or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experiencein business operations, program management, or executive-level administrative/business support in a large organization.
- Proven experience supporting senior leadership (Director/VP level or above)in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, complex workflows, and cross-functional coordination.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and operational management skills
- Experience with workforce planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills (ability to synthesize and present insights clearly)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presence
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and proactively
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (including advanced data analysis, reporting, and presentation capabilities, reporting automation)
- Experience in automotive, engineering or manufacturing environments
- Experience working in a global or multi-region environment
- Familiarity with hiring processes, supplier coordination and contractor management
- Experience with enterprise systems (e.g. SAP, Workday Concur, PDM, SharePoint)
- Background in structured planning, program management, or operational governance
