MaineHealth Medical Group Hospital Medicine (MHMG-HM) is seeking a BC/BE Internal Medicine physician for the full-time position of Associate Medical Director of Hospital Medicine at Maine Medical Center Biddeford Campus (MMC-B) in Biddeford. This role is 25% administrative and 75% clinical. We offer competitive salary and benefits and the opportunity to work in a community hospital setting with close connections to Maine Medical Center Portland Campus, a tertiary academic medical center. The candidate will work closely with the Medical Director of Hospital Medicine and Program Manager at Maine Medical Center Biddeford Campus as well as the Associate Medical Director of Hospital Medicine at MaineHealth Medical Group (MHMG).

Maine Medical Center Biddeford Campus (MMC-B) is a non-profit, full-service community hospital with 125 acute care beds located on the beautiful southern Maine coast. MMC-B is MaineHealth's second-largest hospital and offers a comprehensive array of medical care to the southern region of Maine, including emergency departments in Biddeford and Sanford. MMC-B has a strong connection with the University of New England medical school with third-year medical students participating in rotations in our Hospital Medicine program. Physicians hired into this role will have the opportunity to work closely with advanced practice professionals (NP/PA).

The candidate will be joining MHMG-HM, an organization within the broader practice group of MaineHealth Medical Group and Maine Medical Center. MHMG-HM now includes more than 70 hospitalists engaged on the frontlines of clinical care, quality improvement, and medical education. The group includes leaders from across the organization including physicians with roles in the resident education, undergraduate medical education, medical consultation and preoperative medicine, homeless health, quality and many other key aspects of MaineHealth's mission: "Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America." There are ample opportunities for continuing education and journal club.
