Title: Program Assistant - Crime Victim Compensation Program $21.92 - $24.00 / Posted Thru: 7-13-26 Location: Hybrid - In-Office Work Required - Grand Tower, Lansing Purpose: To provide program support for the Crime Victim Compensation staff. Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide telephone support to staff by answering and/or forwarding calls from victims, claimants, providers, and stakeholders. * Assist with clerical duties assigned including mail sorting, scanning, and faxing. * Assist Program Analysts with returning phone calls and following up on requested documentation. * Assist with data entry of claim information into a claims management system. * Assist with reviewing program email inbox in Microsoft Outlook to determine action items, disseminate information, and distribute documentation to Program Analysts * Review incomplete claims. * Initiate contact with victims and/or claimants to obtain necessary claim information. * Maintain program spreadsheet of daily functions and update it as necessary. * Represent the best interests of MPHI and MDHHS at all times. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Two years of related experience performing administrative support activities. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: This is a hybrid position. The office location for this position is the Grand Tower in downtown Lansing, Michigan in a standard office environment. This position will require viewing a CRT or VDT screen 25% to 75% of the time. Occasional physical effort, including lifting materials and equipment up to 25 pounds. Requires a valid vehicle operator's license to attend off-site meetings, conferences, and training. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility. IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: This position has a direct impact on the quality of services provided by MPHI to MDHHS. REQUIRED COMMUNICATION
