Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Estimated annual base pay: $132,000(minimum) - $171,000(midpoint) - $211,000(maximum)

Position Summary:

  • This role is to lead sales engagement with Woodward's strategic Engine OEM accounts. The strategic member will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to optimize this key customer relationship for Woodward. Strong communication and coordination between Woodward Sales, Marketing, Program Management, Engineering, and Senior Leadership will enable Woodward to optimize strategic outcomes and drive customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Designs and implements comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maintain and expand market presence. Ensure new product designs, strategic proposals, and existing program commitments are executed with customer via internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team Management: Oversees hiring, training, and performance evaluations of Sales manager team to ensure high productivity and engagement. Develop and coach Sales team members through complex sales challenges and the implementation of innovative solutions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracks and analyzes sales metrics to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Operational Planning: Adapts sales plans and priorities to address resource and market challenges, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
  • Client Engagement: Establishes and nurtures relationships with key clients and Woodward to drive sales growth and enhance customer satisfaction. Responsible for the execution of customer gameboards, heatmaps and customer engagement action plans.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics and the ability to manage sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying strategies and expectations.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and proactively resolve operational and technical challenges impacting sales performance.
  • Team Development: Experienced in hiring, training, and developing high performing sales professionals.
  • Data Driven Decision Making: Advanced proficiency in analyzing sales data and metrics to inform strategic decisions and drive business performance.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Skilled in managing and enhancing relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Adept at guiding and influencing team members and stakeholders to adopt strategic initiatives.
