General Purpose Apply a high level of proficiency to perform a broad range of logistics support and coordinate activities specific to Department of Transportation ("DOT") Compliance. Gather data, generate reports, perform entry into databases or systems, and assist management or logistics staff with ad-hoc requests. Take calls from internal business areas, and answer questions, coordinate resolution of issues, etc. Work collaboratively with all departments. Function as a go-to resource and help team members. Job Duties and ResponsibilitIes
- Utilizing knowledge of both web-based background investigation and driver qualification systems, support site human resource and logistics team members in establishment and maintenance of DOT required driver qualification files
- Utilizing investigative and audit skills to validate driver qualification files are compliant
- Respond to DOT safety questionnaires from prospective employers of previous and/or current employees
- Verify compliance with DOT random testing requirements by validating the active pool list, monitoring completion of random selections, validating company is meeting the regulatory definition of random
- Support local HR and Logistics teams by providing education on navigating the web-based system used to order services for drug testing and DOT physicals
- Working with local HR and HRIS to validate and update all new hires or transfers have the correct regulatory designation indicated in ADP
- Participation in site-specific regulatory assessments and company provided DOT training
- Perform daily and ad-hoc tasks of a standard to difficult nature, including administrative tasks, customer service, reporting, system administration, and supporting daily operational activities
- Produce standard and original reports that may require identifying where and how to pull data

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, human resources, or related environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong proficiency and skill with Microsoft Office Suite, company computer systems, and web-based systems used for hiring and managing DOT regulated employees
- Able to work with accuracy and detail oriented
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
- Able to anticipate and recommend needed changes
- Able to independently gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
