$78,000-$115,000 per year.

Lead a High-Performing Laboratory Team Supporting Exceptional Cancer Care.

At Shenandoah Oncology, our mission is to deliver exceptional cancer care close to home. We are seeking a collaborative, hands-on Clinical Lab Supervisor to lead a team of four laboratory professionals, oversee daily laboratory operations, and ensure our physicians, clinical staff, and patients receive the accurate, timely diagnostic testing they rely on every day.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Supervisor, Lab Supervisor, Clinical Laboratory Supervisor, Lead Medical Technologist, Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or similar laboratory leadership role seeking a supportive, specialty-focused environment where quality, teamwork, and patient care come first.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day laboratory operations, staffing, and workflow coordination
  • Supervise, coach, and develop lab team members
  • Ensure quality assurance, quality control, and regulatory compliance (CLIA, OSHA, state requirements)
  • Support and perform laboratory testing as needed
  • Oversee test accuracy, reporting, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with providers and cross-functional teams to support patient care
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and documentation standards
  • Assist with inventory, equipment evaluation, and operational improvements

Qualifications

  • MLS(ASCP) or equivalent certification required
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science strongly preferred
  • 5-10 years of clinical laboratory experience
  • Previous lead technologist, assistant supervisor, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of quality control, proficiency testing, CLIA/CAP regulatory requirements, and laboratory quality systems
  • Current state licensure, where required

Requires corrected vision, color perception and hearing to normal range. Requires legible handwriting.
