This posting will promote student success by ensuring manageable faculty workloads, fostering effective didactic and clinical instruction, and maintaining accreditation and quality standards for nursing education.

- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required for adjunct faculty teaching didactic.
- Clinical Adjunct Only: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Consideration may be given to individuals with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with preparation in teaching and learning principles in nursing education, as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (such as the NC AHEC Clinical Instructor Partner (CIP) Program and/or in the process of completing the CIP Program).
- A minimum of two years' full-time employment in clinical nursing practice as a registered nurse (RN) verified by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Work experience and/or teaching experience in mental health, pediatrics, community health, labor & delivery/antepartum/postpartum, or geriatrics.
- Current unrestricted RN license to practice in the state of North Carolina.

- Plan and provide didactic and/or clinical instruction and experiences that reflect an understanding of the philosophy, objectives, and curriculum of the nursing program and profession
- Facilitate student achievement of course objectives/learning outcomes through varied teaching methods.
- Evaluate student achievement of course objectives/learning outcomes.
- Utilize feedback from student and faculty evaluations for instructional improvement
- Utilize evidence-based research in teaching and the clinical practice of nursing
- Demonstrate the ability to teach culturally and linguistically diverse student populations.
- Perform other duties that support the mission and strategic initiatives of Winston-Salem State University and the Division of Nursing
- Evidence of continued professional development through membership in a professional organization and/or certification in a specialty area of practice
- Serve as a role model for students in professional, social, and civic areas.
Clinical Instruction
