Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for collecting, verifying, and maintaining accurate product information to support Product Information Management (PIM) initiatives. This role combines warehouse operations with data collection by retrieving products, capturing product dimensions and weights, validating product information, and maintaining accurate records. The Product Data Associate operates material handling equipment, utilizes data collection technology, and ensures all product information meets established quality and accuracy standards while adhering to workplace safety procedures.

Job Responsibilities



  • Retrieve finished goods using an order picker and other authorized material handling equipment.
  • Verify products by matching part numbers, descriptions, and other identifying information.
  • Operate Cubiscan equipment to capture accurate product dimensions and weight.
  • Accurately enter product specifications and measurements into Excel spreadsheets and designated data systems.
  • Validate collected product data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper alignment.
  • Organize and stage products throughout the data collection process.
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies, data inconsistencies, or product issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure all product data meets established quality standards.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Conduct pre-use inspections of warehouse equipment.
  • Safely operate order picker equipment while working at elevated heights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, product data collection, or a related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience operating order picker equipment preferred; training may be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel for data entry and record management.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to verify and maintain accurate product information.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights using order picker equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


Work Experience



  • Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, product data collection, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience operating order picker equipment preferred.
