Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, picking, and preparing customer orders for shipment within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role operates warehouse equipment, including order pickers and powered industrial trucks, utilizes RF scanning technology, and maintains inventory accuracy while adhering to established safety and quality standards. The Warehouse Associate performs repetitive physical tasks, works at elevated heights, and contributes to the efficient movement of products throughout the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities



  • Operate an order picker at heights up to 28 feet to retrieve and stock materials.
  • Utilize RF scanners to accurately locate, pick, and place products according to system instructions.
  • Pull, verify, and prepare customer orders for shipment while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
  • Receive, inspect, stage, and stock incoming materials.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, including order pickers, forklifts, and other powered industrial equipment as authorized.
  • Move large products and appliances using safe team-lift techniques.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through proper product handling and system updates.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe by following established housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other warehouse and material handling duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 1 year of recent warehouse, shipping, receiving, distribution, inventory, or material handling experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 28 feet using warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and safely perform team lifts for heavier items.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical work throughout the shift.
  • Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) preferred.
  • Forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, or order fulfillment preferred.
  • Ability to learn product lines, warehouse procedures, and inventory processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 1 year of recent warehouse, shipping, receiving, distribution, inventory, or material handling experience required.
  • Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) preferred.
  • Forklift operating experience preferred.
