Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through inventory control, cycle counting, material handling, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment. This role ensures inventory accuracy by maintaining inventory records, processing inbound and outbound shipments, stocking materials, and supplying production with required components. The Warehouse Associate I operates material handling equipment while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Pick and issue materials to support production and work order requirements.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and process inbound shipments.
  • Communicate shipment discrepancies and inventory issues to the appropriate departments.
  • Sort, stage, and organize incoming materials and inventory.
  • Prepare and load outbound shipments using approved shipping methods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions within the warehouse management system.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently as authorized.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and receiving area.
  • Follow established warehouse procedures and workplace safety policies.
  • Support production by ensuring materials are available when needed.
  • Work overtime as required to meet business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 6 months of warehouse, stockroom, inventory, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience operating forklifts preferred.
  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, invoices, bills of lading, and related documentation.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and safely move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.


Education



  • High school diploma or GED required.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 6 months of warehouse, stockroom, inventory, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience required.
  • Experience operating forklifts preferred.
  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or warehouse management systems preferred.
