Bruker's AXS-EM division is looking for an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer. This position will report to the Operations Team in Kirkland, WA. Work is full-time onsite.



Responsibilities

    Day to Day sustaining of the Electronics Production Line in Kirkland.
  • Serve as first line troubleshooting of technical problems on the production n floor
  • Creating and maintaining process work instructions, fixture drawings, and other documentation
  • Maintain Bill of Materials for electronics components in the whole Electron Microscope assembly.
  • Advocate for Design for Manufacturability at the site.
  • Coordinate the new product introduction (NPI) and ramp-up of products and parts in cooperation with R&D, assembly, testing, purchasing, and planning teams.
  • Initiate and manage changes to parts and subassemblies to make product more efficient to manufacture
  • Document existing assembly processes and procedures and continuously improve documents to increase production efficiency.
  • Work with board houses to develop turnkey solutions for existing electronic boards and assemblies
  • Manage relationship with board house including conveying changes to parts/subassemblies/components as they are approved through Change Management processes
  • Maintain overall electronics production line quality through tracking Yield, Scrap, and Nonconformities.
  • Participate in Material Review Boards
  • Designing and/or developing specifications for tools and equipment to improve manufacturing processes
  • Help develop and manage site safety initiatives with Engineering Manager and Operations Manager


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Discipline
  • At least two years of experience in a R&D and/or Manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with IPC standards for Acceptability and Workmanship of Printed Wiring Boards, Circuit Card Assemblies and Cable/Wire Harnesses.
  • Strong self-management and drive to get things done
  • Strong hands-on problem-solving drive
  • Quick learner and willing to become an expert in a new field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ERP systems. Good SAP knowledge is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Experience with KiCAD or other electronics CAD software
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Experience in product launch and ramp-up of new products
  • Experience in a high-mix/low-volume environment

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $78,750 and $140,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
