Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Systems Engineer to become part of its team at its Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, PA.

The Maintenance Systems Engineer is responsible for managing, improving, and consistently advancing maintenance management systems and digital tools that facilitate maintenance execution, asset reliability, and operational excellence. This role functions as the technical bridge between maintenance, PDO engineering, operations, IT/digital platforms, and business process owners to ensure maintenance systems are effective, standardized, and datadriven.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve maintenance systems (SAP PM), ensuring precise asset data, maintenance plans, workflows, and system functionality.
  • Act as the maintenance systems expert and provide support for digital tools, dashboards, mobile applications, and reliability platforms.
  • Establish and maintain maintenance standards, including preventive/predictive maintenance strategies, work order processes, failure coding, and master data governance.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of maintenance and reliability information.
  • Support reliability initiatives through system configuration, maintenance optimization, criticality analysis, and condition-based maintenance programs.
  • Develop and maintain important metrics, reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support data-driven decision-making and asset performance.
  • Lead system enhancements, updates, user training, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Reliability, Operations, IT, Digital/Data teams, and Engineering to resolve system issues and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Reliability, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance settings and maintenance management platforms (SAP PM or equivalent).
  • Solid grasp of maintenance and reliability concepts, including PM, PdM, RCA, and asset criticality.
  • Preferred experience with multi-site maintenance systems, shutdowns/turnarounds, asset lifecycle management, data analytics, reporting on critical metrics, and digital maintenance transformation initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in maintenance systems, data governance, process standardization, collaborating with partners, and continuous improvement.
