Pay Range: $85-100 - W2 hourly

Job Description:

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

This position is for Engineer with responsibilities in the Advanced Center for Experimentation and Simulation (ACES) program. We provide training solutions for command and battle staff training using a combination of live, virtual and constructive simulation assets, C2 systems and DIS/HLA gateways. Candidates will focus on the development of a web app based front end control

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline with the development life cycle as a software engineer

Proficiency in one or more of the following: Java, Javascript, Typescript, Angular

Experience with Gitlab or equivalent CI/CD tools

Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems

Desired Skills:

Experience with learning and implementing new tools/languages

Experience integrating newer tools and technologies into established programs to improve software-process efficiency

Experience with designing/developing GUI based applications

Experience with live/virtual/constructive simulation
