Salary range:
The posted UC Salary Scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The salary range for this position is $146,700-$442,800. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: July 1, 2026 Next review date: Friday, Jul 31, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Dec 30, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The UCLA Palliative Care Program is seeking full-time outpatient palliative care physicians to support our UCLA hematology-oncology clinic based in Santa Barbara. Candidates must have stronginterpersonal and clinical skills and will have opportunities for teaching fellows, residents, and medical students. Position includes outpatient clinical service and potential for home palliative medicine visits in the future. The successful applicant will enjoy a full-time faculty appointment in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. An M.D., D.O., or equivalent is required. A California medical license is required. Candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Responsibilities include a minimum of 36 hours per week of direct patient care and clinical teaching of medical students and/or residents. Creativity in a variety of professional activities including those that may involve teaching, scholarly contributions and administration, as well as participation in university or public service, is expected.
