For your awareness, IFF has announced its intention to sell its Food Ingredients Business to CVC Capital Partners. The sale is presently expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. The Food Ingredient business unit will remain a part of IFF until close and, at such time, it will transition to CVC Capital Partners. In applying for this position, you acknowledge your awareness that the position is a part of the Food Ingredient business unit and has been identified to transition to CVC Capital Partners.

Food Ingredients Business Unit:
Our Food Ingredients business develops innovative ingredient solutions that enhance taste, texture, nutrition, and performance for a wide range of food applications. We partner with customers to meet evolving consumer expectations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

The role is based in Newark, DE, USA (on-site).

Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Perform chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to support product quality and lot release
  • Execute laboratory analyses (e.g., viscosity, sieve analysis, moisture content, titration) using approved methods and standard operating procedures
  • Document and report results in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Support investigations related to Out of Specification (OOS), Out of Trend (OOT), and non-conformance events
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory requirements (FDA/USDA), and internal quality standards
  • Maintain laboratory equipment through calibration, verification, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Quality teams to resolve issues and support production timelines
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen food safety and quality systems

What Makes You the Right Fit

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific field
  • 0-2 years of laboratory experience in food, pharmaceutical, or regulated environments
  • Knowledge of chemical testing techniques and laboratory instrumentation
  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and data integrity principles
  • Experience documenting laboratory results and supporting investigations
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with LIMS systems (e.g., SoftTrace or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
