The North Kirkland Community Center is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Ballet Instructor to lead classes for children ages 3-11 on Saturday Mornings! What You'll Do: Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate ballet classes Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Introduce and develop fundamental ballet techniques and terminology Communicate effectively with both children and parents Foster confidence, discipline, coordination, and a love of dance What You Bring: Strong knowledge of ballet technique and instruction Creative and adaptable teaching style Experience working with children ages 3-11 Excellent communication and classroom management skills Ability to encourage and motivate young dancers of all skill levels Special Note *candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good communication skills are required. Ability to interact courteously with the public. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated good judgement in problem solving and responding to customer needs. Proficiency in standard computer software. Qualifications Must have 6 months of related teaching experience. Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date. Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act. Must be at least 18 years of age. Other Other Working Conditions & Physical Activities Work is performed in a community center setting, with high levels of noise. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks.
