Job Summary

Do you have the grace, passion, and creativity to inspire young dancers? The North Kirkland Community Center is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Ballet Instructor to lead classes for children ages 3-11 on Saturday Mornings!

What You'll Do:

  • Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate ballet classes
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Introduce and develop fundamental ballet techniques and terminology
  • Communicate effectively with both children and parents
  • Foster confidence, discipline, coordination, and a love of dance

What You Bring:

  • Strong knowledge of ballet technique and instruction
  • Creative and adaptable teaching style
  • Experience working with children ages 3-11
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to encourage and motivate young dancers of all skill levels

  • Good communication skills are required.
  • Ability to interact courteously with the public.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated good judgement in problem solving and responding to customer needs.
  • Proficiency in standard computer software.

Qualifications

  • Must have 6 months of related teaching experience.
  • Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date.
  • Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions & Physical Activities

Work is performed in a community center setting, with high levels of noise. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks.
