Job Summary

Do you have the grace, passion, and creativity to inspire young dancers? The North Kirkland Community Center is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Ballet Instructor to lead classes for children ages 3-11 on Saturday Mornings! What You'll Do:
- Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate ballet classes
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Introduce and develop fundamental ballet techniques and terminology
- Communicate effectively with both children and parents
- Foster confidence, discipline, coordination, and a love of dance
What You Bring:
- Strong knowledge of ballet technique and instruction
- Creative and adaptable teaching style
- Experience working with children ages 3-11
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to encourage and motivate young dancers of all skill levels

- Good communication skills are required.
- Ability to interact courteously with the public.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated good judgement in problem solving and responding to customer needs.
- Proficiency in standard computer software.

Qualifications

- Must have 6 months of related teaching experience.
- Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date.
- Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

Other Working Conditions & Physical Activities Work is performed in a community center setting, with high levels of noise. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks.
