Could you be the full-time Industrial Manufacturing Engineer (VIE Contract) in Hornell we're looking for?

Your future role

Industrialization & Operations :



  • Support production ramp-up and process documentation management
  • Ensure alignment between engineering design and shopfloor execution (work instructions)
  • Act as a coordination point between Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Robotics teams
  • Support commissioning and qualification of robotic equipment
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (automation rate, usage, maturity)
  • Identify issues, escalate when needed, and drive resolution
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (efficiency, productivity, safety)



Performance & Continuous Improvement



  • Build and follow dashboards and performance reports
  • Collect production feedback (REX) to improve processes (Design for Automation)
  • Participate in lean initiatives and process optimization
  • Support budget monitoring (planned vs actuals)
  • Participate in TPM routines



Quality:



  • Participate in daily quality routines (QRQC)
  • Contribute to root cause analysis (8D, problem-solving methods)
  • Track action plans and ensure closure with cross-functional teams
  • Support process validation (FMEA, improvements implementation)

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent



  • Experience or understanding of industrialization and manufacturing processes



  • Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (QRQC, 8D, Lean tools)



  • Familiarity with production processes and industrial practices



  • A driver's license (appreciated)



  • Strong communication skills and ability to foster collaboration between multiple stakeholders



  • Fluent English and the ability to work in a multicultural environment




Contract:



  • 12/18 months VIE contract
