Salary/Hourly Rate:25.48

This position will provide diverse case management to individuals experiencing disability, justice involvement, poverty, and/or homelessness enrolled in our employment programs. Services for participants include coordination of vocational assessments, facilitating pre-vocational and pre-employment of individual and group services along with the Case Manager. A widely varied resource/referral knowledge to support participants in identifying job goals, execute effective job searches, obtain suitable and appropriate employment, and retain employment over time. This position will also facilitate quarterly needs assessment to alleviate barriers to employment.

Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Manages an active caseload of up to up to 40 individuals completing each milestone for intake, job development/placement, completion of training goals, stabilization, and successful closure.
  • Have a 70% job placement rate among enrolled participants.
  • Meet participants weekly, providing job readiness training, basic technology literacy, and financial literacy while guiding them through the job search process.
  • Develop individualized plans for employment (IPEs) with clear, measurable goals. Identify vocational strengths and transferable skills. Assist participants in setting realistic short- and long-term employment objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct quarterly surveys with participants & employers for feedback about services & support being provided.
  • Upload proof of employment into SETWorks and provide job-retention support during the first 90 days.
  • Assist participants navigate concrete and social issues that may impede their ability to work.
  • Attend applicable staff and community meetings.
  • Conduct comprehensive intake of assessments to evaluate participants' skills, experience, interests, barriers, and support needs.
  • Assist participants in developing and refining professional resumes and cover letters.
  • Provide guidance on completing job applications (paper and online) so participants can conduct job search independently. Teach job search strategies, including networking and online job platforms.
  • Conduct mock interviews and interview coaching sessions.
  • Deliver individual and group training on employability skills. Facilitate workshops on workplace etiquette and job retention skills. Collaborate on ServiceSource hosted job and resource fairs.
  • Complete in an accurate & timely manner case notes for all participants' interactions.
  • Performs other duties to include jobsite coverage as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required. Associate's degree (A.A.)preferred.
  • One year of experience working in employment with individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to work in multiple databases, and proficient in data entry
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), grammar, and reasoning skills
  • Understanding of the socioeconomic conditions that impact conditions for people experiencing homelessness, justice involvement, disability, and severe poverty
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information without breach
  • Personal commitment to working within an integrated services model, with emphasis on employment as a key component to ending poverty and homelessness.
  • Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with community resources.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with consumers, families, all levels of staff, & community agencies.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug testing.
  • A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
