POSITION OVERVIEW

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor aged AR Insurance balances and assist facilities in collection efforts as necessary or directed by AR SWAT Support Team Lead.
  • Partner and work with Campus Business Office Manager and/or Field Support team to identify problem areas for collection and billing.
  • Prepare account summary and related documents when it is necessary to escalate problem accounts to the outside attorney group for collection.
  • Audit, bill and adjust resident accounts with outstanding Insurance balances.
  • Review Insurance EOB's/remits for correct cash posting.
  • Assist with Clearinghouse Management for accurate claims billing.
  • Assist with Matrix Care set up of payers and Insurance claim data.
  • Review zero-pay EOB's/remits for accurate cash posting in Matrix.
  • Enter adjustments on resident accounts from EOB's/Remits to ensure accurate payer account billing.
  • Verify timely billing of Insurance claims.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to problems, manage multiple tasks efficiently, work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 20lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
