Product Engineer, Supercharger

The Tesla Energy Supercharger ServiceEngineering team is responsible for the ongoing success of Tesla's class leading Supercharger Network. We're looking for a driven, motivated and collaborative applicant to join our international team to help accelerate the world's transition to sustainable transport. As part of the team, you will be enabled to work across the organization to solve problems and ensure the success of ourproducts. Working alongside the Industrial Energy, Residential Energy and SolarProductand ServiceEngineering teams you'll leverage cutting edge data and analytics to ensure the best customer experience and fleet availability.

• Drive cross-functional efforts and initiatives to implement fleet improvements with the manufacturing, design, field service, technical support teams
• Work with the widerengineering and manufacturing teams to drive design and manufacturingproductimprovements in both existing and futureproducts
• Work with field service and technical support teams to create documentation and training to support field commissioning, service actions, and to ensure consistent and stable global service operations
• Utilize remote data analysis, fleet analytics and first principles insights to solve problems with some lab work and onsite investigations as needed
• Troubleshoot and root cause hardware, software and firmware issues of the global Supercharger network

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering orequivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years experience as a development, diagnostic or field support engineer
• Experience withproductengineering, reliabilityengineering, failure analysis, systems testengineering, orproductqualityengineering
• Experience using SQL, Linux based operating systems, Python, and C/C++ or equivalent
• Strongengineering fundamentals and intuition, applied to firmware/software/hardware of connected systems
• Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with external stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with hands on experience debugging complex systems
• Demonstrated data analytics and analysis
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams
• Experience with charging standards is a plus
