As a Controls Engineer on our team,you'lldesign, test, and deploy control systems to advancethismission.You'llwork with embedded controls and server-based tools, collaborating across teams to ensure our systems meet real-world needs.We'relooking for a flexible, collaborative engineer with a passion for sustainable energy and the ability to contribute to diverse technical challenges.

• Collaborate with project,productand firmware/software teams to define requirements for new control behaviors

• Develop andmodifycontrol algorithms(MATLAB/Simulink)andverify thattheymeet product requirements usingsimulations andHIL test setups (Typhoon)

• Develop tools to help simulate,testand troubleshoot site control behavior

• Document and present designs clearly to gain organization buy-in

• Supportfieldteams in the deploymentand troubleshootingofourcontrolsystems

• Define our technology roadmap and contribute to the larger goal of making our controlsystemsplug and play

• Strong grasp of electrical engineering and control system fundamentals

• Proficiencyinmodelling control systems in Simulink, RSCAD, PSCAD, or similar

• Proficiencywith at least one programming language(eg.Rust, Python, orPLC Structured Text)

• Experiencevalidatingcontrols with SIL/HIL simulation environments

• Ability to communicate findings in a concise & clear manner and ability to work cross functionally with engineering, business development, and deployment personnel
