GENERAL FUNCTION

The National Sales Manager, Independent Eyecare is the first-line sales leader for Nassau OOGP Vision Group's Independent Eyecare Professional (IECP) channel, directly managing the field sales team responsible for revenue growth across the full IECP customer base. This role owns day-to-day field execution coaching, territory planning, pipeline management, and deal structuring across all IECP stock lens and contact lens sales. The position serves as the primary commercial connection point to EssilorLuxottica's IECP-facing sales organizations and as the field-level owner of doctor alliance execution.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead, coach, and develop a national field sales team to consistent performance against revenue, growth, and product penetration targets.
  • Translate national IECP revenue plans into territory-level execution and hold the team accountable to quota, activity, and KPI expectations.
  • Drive customer growth, retention, and product mix expansion across the full IECP stock lens and contact lens portfolio.
  • Serve as the manager-level escalation and structuring point for complex deals, including rebate programs, payment terms, and multi-product agreements.
  • Partner with all EssilorLuxottica IECP-facing sales teams to deliver a coordinated, unified value proposition to independent eyecare customers.
  • Own field-level execution of doctor alliance programs, ensuring alliance commitments translate into account-level activity and value.
  • Coordinate field handoffs with inside sales, onboarding, and account support functions to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain CRM integrity, pipeline accuracy, and segment forecasting to support visibility and performance management.
  • Analyze territory, pipeline, and market data to identify opportunities and inform commercial decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial governance standards, and contractual agreements.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • 7+ years of sales experience in optical, vision care, or healthcare distribution, including 3+ years in a first-line sales management role.
  • Demonstrated success leading and coaching a field sales team to revenue and growth targets.
  • Strong understanding of sales operations, pricing, CRM systems, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to interpret pipeline, margin, and territory data and drive action from it.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience within the optical, healthcare, or medical device industry preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of the independent eyecare ecosystem, including doctor alliance structures and contact lens distribution.
  • Experience partnering across multiple sales organizations to drive shared account growth.
