THE POSITION

As a Western Regional Outreach Manager with the Insurance Department, you will help lead outreach programs that support consumers across the region. This role is perfect for someone who wants to build partnerships, share information, and guide a team of Outreach Specialists. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position leads outreach and engagement work across the western region and supervises a team that supports consumers and communities. Work involves planning events, managing communication efforts, and guiding policies that improve the public outreach mission. As a Western Regional Outreach Manager, you will perform the following duties:

  • Outreach Leadership: Guide outreach activities across the region and participate in events that educate consumers
  • Emergency Response: Assist citizens during critical incidents by providing insurance-related information on-site
  • Program Planning: Develop outreach plans, policies, and procedures to support engagement goals
  • Complaint Resolution: Identify public concerns and direct issues for formal investigation when needed
  • Data Analysis: Track outreach results and review trends to improve programs and communication efforts
  • Team Supervision: Direct Outreach Specialists, assign tasks, and support staff development and training

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
