We're looking for experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) interested in exciting travel interim leadership opportunities! As a Nurse Consultant, you'll provide on-site professional consulting services to post-acute and aging services clients, making a real impact in organizations that need your expertise. Responsibilities:
- Assist the client with assessing, planning, developing, and implementing systems, processes, and other needs as requested.
- Maintain current working knowledge of applicable state and federal standards, regulations, and industry standards of practice.
- Consults and provides technical or interim management assistance to nursing and health care providers as requested by the client.
- Identify training needs; plan and conduct training/in-services as requested.
- Assist clients as requested in the selection and hiring of key management staff.
- Participate in/conduct comprehensive quality assessments as requested.
- Attend applicable meetings in the facility as requested.
- Participate in the marketing of Pathway services in long-term care and senior housing communities.
- Provide written reports as requested promptly.
- Function within the scope of professional practice guidelines and all other disciplinary standards of practice.
- Maintain current licensure.
- Report to the supervisor any potential areas of client vulnerability.
- Maintain client confidentiality and function within HIPAA regulations.
- Function within the scope of work as defined on client-specific project sheets.
- Provide weekly time sheets and expense reports individualized by client.
- Keep current on voice and email messages and respond promptly.
- Limited Direct Patient Care.
Qualifications:
- Current MN RN.
- RAC-CT certification through AAPACN required.
- Minimum 1 year of long-term care experience (management experience preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service orientation.
- Flexibility for travel throughout MN & WI.
Special Position Requirements:
- Must keep all professional licenses and certifications updated as required.
- Provide proof of current and in good standing licensure.
- Must maintain an active driver's license and provide proof of auto insurance upon request.
- Some travel required (50%).
Physical Demands:
- Ability to endure prolonged walking, sitting, standing, use of pulling, bending and stooping movements.
- Ability to talk and hear.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to endure the physical demands of traveling. (i.e., air travel and auto travel).
Mental Demands:
- Must be able to work under pressure to maintain organizational goals.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to adapt to changes in daily work hours and schedule.
