SUMMARY

Responsible for day-to-day management of commission processing functions for ACG entities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures the timely and accurate payment of commissions and bonuses to agents, as well as override payments, bonuses, and other compensation to managers.

Develops and maintains technology and data related to commissions.

Maintains accurate and updated compensation plan documents.

Sources, imports, and manages commission information and data needed to process commissions.

Responsible for auditing and reconciling bank deposits from carriers and partners, expected revenue from carriers and paid compensation components.

Performs research tasks and error resolution to resolve problems that arise.

Serves as a liaison between carrier, agent, and internal departments to address and resolve commission disputes.

Conducts ad hoc and scheduled trainings, and handle field inquiries and issues.

Determines, communicates, and implements commissions process improvements and develops, monitors and reports on KPIs.

Provides ongoing assistance to support improvement within ACG commissions operations.

Provides direct management and guidance to designated personnel.

Responsible for hiring/terminating, disciplinary actions, assigning/checking work, plan/appraise job performance measurements, performance reviews, compensation recommendations, new hire orientation and training; and provides policy and operational leadership.

Works collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of the organization by serving on relevant internal and external committees.

Integrates multiple commissions teams into one across multiple entities, and defines shared and unique processes (e.g., brokerage offices, retail offices, carrier invitations, etc.).

Manages agent interfaces to enable commissions payments across all entities and carriers; manages commissions tools (e.g., Callidus) to ensure accurate commissions are set up and paid to field.

Identifies opportunities for efficiency in commissions processes, utilizing BPO, automation, and AI solutions.

Manages talent in the commissions team and defines organizational needs and staffs accordingly

Manages commissions compliance and quality.

Provides strategic, policy and operational leadership.

Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).

QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business

Five (5) or more years commission experience with an insurance carrier or securities broker/dealer or experience calculating bonus/commission payments

Three (3) or more years management or supervisory experience

SKILLS

Knowledge of the general industry procedures, standards, systems, resources, practices and terminology

Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws as well as industry regulations

Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat software preferred)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts

Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with all customers, employees and the general public

Skill in the use of time management, organizational leadership and supervisory skills

Ability to maintain flexible work schedule to include evening and weekend hours as needed
