The salary range listed ($70,977-$77,561) reflects the full-time UC salary scales, with minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. As this is a part-time lecturer position, compensation will be prorated accordingly. See Table for full-time rates Application Window Open date: June 15, 2026 Next review date: Tuesday, Jul 14, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Sep 18, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in the Samueli School of Engineering is currently accepting applications for a part-time lecturer for the Winter quarter 2027 to teach CBE 161 (Introduction to Biochemical Engineering). This course covers the application of engineering principles to biochemical processes. Specific topics include microbial pathways, energetics and control systems, enzyme and microbial kinetics, and the design and analysis of biological reactors. Requirements: Applicants should have a B.S. or M.S. in chemical engineering or a related field from an accredited university. Relevant industrial experience and/or effective teaching experience is preferred. Salary range: A reasonable estimate for this position is Salary point 1 to salary point 4.
