Orano is seeking a Painter Automated Systems for our Kernersville, NC facility.

Under moderate supervision, this position will be responsible for operating and driving improvements of automated coating system in our Kernersville, NC facility. The qualified candidate will have the experience, background and knowledge to work with the manufacturer on customizations as needed.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Commit to safety and health procedures.
  • Programming of automated systems.
  • Follow all Orano/TNF standards, SOPs, procedures, and verbal instructions
  • Perform rigging, either by assisting or leading the task, to transport parts throughout the facility.
  • Operate automated coating system.
  • Abrasively blast product in fabrication phases or as final assemblies.
  • Paint finished product.
  • Follow shop travelers with minimal supervision.
  • Work flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service.
  • Grind welds, blend parts, remove burrs, wire brush parts, steel stamp parts, clean parts with solvent or steam, wrap parts with plastic and/or tarps for shipment, and help load parts as required.
  • Straighten assemblies, as required, throughout various stages of fabrication.
  • Operate various saws and other equipment as required.
  • Assist maintenance and other shop or office personnel in moving of handling materials, parts, equipment, furniture, or other items as required.





Requirements


All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.

  • High school diploma or its equivalent plus minimum two years of related experience.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures pertaining to position.
  • Must possess mechanical aptitude.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Due to the variety of tasks, a thorough knowledge of the painting techniques, materials, tools and equipment is required.
