DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
This position plays an important role in delivering accurate pharmaceutical services that support resident care at the facility. As a Pharmacist, you will perform the following duties:
- Medication Safety: Conduct operations in compliance with federal and state laws and accepted medication handling practices
- Inventory Oversight: Manage drug procurement, storage, and periodic inventory reviews to ensure proper control
- Medication Preparation: Prepare, compound, and dispense medications for residents
- Order Review: Enter and update medication orders while checking for interactions and therapy concerns
- Profile Evaluation: Review medication histories and report any irregularities to the Chief Pharmacist
- Team Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and provide consultation on medication use

- Part-time employment, 40 hours bi-weekly
- Work hours are 1st shift (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a rotating schedule and every other weekend.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of a license to practice pharmacy as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
