DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the Dietetic Internship Program within the Bureau of Women, Infants and Children (WIC) by helping manage daily operations, maintain program records, and assist with coordination across training sites. It plays an important role in keeping the program organized, compliant, and responsive to the needs of interns and partners. As a Dietetic Internship Coordinator, you will perform the following duties:

  • Program Coordination: Support scheduling, track program requirements, and maintain accurate records for internship activities
  • Accreditation Support: Assist with documentation, monitor standards, and help ensure compliance with Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) requirements
  • Communication Management: Coordinate with training sites, preceptors, staff, and committees to support clear program communication
  • Intern Support :Provide guidance, prepare materials, and help address intern questions related to program expectations
  • Record Maintenance: Organize program files, track student progress, and ensure documentation is complete and accessible
  • Operational Assistance: Support budgeting, procurement tasks, and administrative needs that help the program function smoothly

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:

  • Two years of professional nutrition or dietetics experience in a public health, education, social service, or closely related setting and a master's degree in human nutrition or a closely related field.
Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
