IT Application Support Intern

Job Description

HOW OUR TEAM WORKS: You'll manage your own tasks while collaborating closely with the team-asking questions, communicating clearly, and treating others with respect. YOUR ROLE: You'll learn how a biotech company sets up and supports enterprise-grade applications from configuring users new apps to triaging and working support tickets. Working alongside our IT Application Analysts, you'll handle real provisioning workflows, coordinate with vendors, and keep our process and support documentation accurate. This isn't a "shadow and observe" internship; you'll take on meaningful work that frees up our team to focus on strategic projects. CORE DUTIES:

1. Triage 2nd and 3rd tier support escalation tickets, working issues as you become familiar with supporting our applications.

2. Process service requests for new accounts, and changes in roles or licensing.

3. Participate in strategic projects introducing or enhancing capabilities within our applications catalog.

4. Create and update procedure documents.

5. Work in enterprise systems including Microsoft 365, Jira, Freshservice, Anthropic Claude, and many more.

6. Assist with documentation, reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed.

7. Demonstrates inclusion through their own words and actions and is accountable for a safe workspace. Acts with kindness, curiosity and respect for others.

9. Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or proven work experience that ensures you are ready to be successful in this role.

2. Demonstrated proficiency in digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, with the ability to adapt and leverage emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to improve efficiency, automation, and collaboration.

3. Interest in IT, SaaS application, AI, or a related field.

4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

5. Strong attention to detail and comfort working with administration tools and ticketing systems

6. Clear communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Enrollment in a degree program related to IT, CS, Business, or similar.

2. Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer.

2. Ability to move IT equipment and objects up to 20 pounds.
