The Facilities Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment and physical structures by performing various duties listed below.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Observes mechanical devices or electrical circuits in operation to locate causes of trouble and ability to repair the device.
  • Dismantles devices or circuits, examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
    Repairs electrical equipment and installs 110V, 208V, 277V electrical cabling, boxes, switches and outlets.
  • Light plumbing work on sinks, toilet bowls, water valves and pipe installations.
  • Light construction such as painting, installation and spackling of sheetrock, removal and installation of doors and floor tile removal and installation.
  • Respond to snow removals and other building emergencies as needed.
  • Perform other duties at the directed.

Skills:

  • High school diploma or vocational training
  • Minimum of 4-8 years related experience, or combination of education & experience
  • Understanding commercial practices of running equipment
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and repair various systems (i.e., heating, electrical, plumbingproblems)
  • Basic understanding of SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
  • OSHA 10-hour course certification required or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, lift and bend for long periods. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35lbs

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$51,833 - $81,929

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
