Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Director is a key member of the center administrative team that supports the mission and values of the Early Childhood Service line, provides leadership and oversight of programming rooted in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and provides direct supervision of program Behavioral Specialists and co-supervision to program assistants. Assistant Director also provides in-service training to program assistants on all ABA program specific methods and provides administrative oversight to the Seedlings program as directed by Program Director. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline and termination Develops and implements training plans related to, but not limited to, natural environment teaching, discrete trial instruction, functional routines, verbal behavior programming, functional behavioral assessment, positive behavior support, assessment, data collection, and curriculum development Assists with the development and implementation of internal and external Seedlings policies and procedures Demonstrates flexibility in addressing daily situations involving school administrators, outside agency representatives, parents and Elwyn personnel Offers and accepts constructive feedback to and from staff and both offers and welcomes suggestions to improve professional skills and techniques Utilizes self-assessment as a strategy for professional growth Provides intensive oversight and support in the implementation of techniques, interventions and strategies rooted in the principles of ABA Stays current on latest research in the field of ABA/Special Education and participates in research on-site to improve programming for students Collaborates with internal and external teams to develop well-rounded, research-based Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students Supports staff with the appropriate implementation of IEPs, as well as individual programming for students Monitors program-wide assessments, as well as supports teams in aligning assessment information with student programming Utilizes creativity to plan and implement a wide array of events, activities and fundraisers to supplement Seedlings programming Provides BCBA supervision for staff pursuing this level of certification Performs other duties as assigned EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification for a minimum of one year required; must have completed all Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) requirements for supervision Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification in special education or other relevant field preferred One (1) year of supervisory experience Five (5) years of experience in providing direct services to preschoolers or school-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in the context of a school or early intervention program Demonstrated ability to model and supervise programming rooted in the principles of ABA Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Positive Behavior Support Plans Demonstrated ability to assess students with ASD utilizing tools such as Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) and individualized progress monitoring Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to internal and external staff and parents/guardians Demonstrated ability to assist staff in adhering to organizational and regulatory agencies' policies and procedures One (1) year experience with adapting curricula to meet student needs One (1) year experience with adaptive or assistive technology as related to early intervention services Effective written and oral communication skills 2026-5770 Equal Opportunity Employer Elwyn is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
