Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a SharePoint Administrator to support the U.S. Navy's Team Submarine at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC! We are seeking candidates to provide the US Navy with excellent technology customer service support and apply a broad base of IT systems knowledge management.
Responsibilities:
- SharePoint Online Administration and Governance
- Manage and maintain the SharePoint Online architecture, including the configuration of document libraries, lists, content types, and term stores.
- Administer tenant-wide access controls, manage user permissions, and ensure seamless integration with Active Directory.
- Oversee the creation, administration, and lifecycle of collaboration sites.
- Establish and manage backup and data retention policies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Power Platform Development and Integration
- Develop and deploy custom Power Apps (both canvas and model-driven) featuring intuitive and customized user interfaces that connect to SharePoint lists.
- Leverage Power Automate to design and implement automated business logic, workflows, and notifications that integrate SharePoint and Power Apps.
- Extract, transform, and load data from SharePoint into Power BI to create and maintain interactive reporting dashboards for data visualization.
- Manage data connectivity between SharePoint, the Microsoft Dataverse, and other external data sources to support application development.
- Governance and Security
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, such as overcoming delegation limits in Power Apps when working with large SharePoint data sets.
- Safeguard uploaded information and content by insuring the proper classification integrity.
- Business Analysis and User Enablement
- Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret non-technical business requirements and translate them into automated workflows, custom applications, and visual analytics.
- Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for custom applications and reports.
- Provide training and support to internal staff on how to effectively use published Power Apps and consume Power BI reports.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Five (5) years' experience in information technology (IT) and customer service support.
- Proven experience in SharePoint Online administration, site architecture, and access governance.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse and configuring data connectors.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, including data delegation limits.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or IT Systems.
- Excellent communication and user training skills.
- DoD Secret security clearance.
