Responsibilities

The Visual Inspection Level III will be located at our Whitehall Casting Operation in Whitehall, MI.

As a Visual Inspection Level III, the responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develops training and oversight programs necessary to control visual inspection processes in both wax and metal inspection areas
  • Standardizing visual inspection techniques and aiding in the execution of quality improvement plans
  • Understanding customer returns and shipping rework issues to help implement changes in the inspection and manufacturing process to make improvements
  • Root cause analysis
  • Identify, communicate, and track defects that are having large or repeat impact to first time yield
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality/Visual Inspection.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

PREFERRED QUALIFCATION:

  • Previous Howmet or investment casting experience
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • PC Literate in Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Understanding of inspection equipment/techniques for the area
  • Problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset.
