| Summary of Position: |
The College of Engineering and Technology at Ferris State University is seeking Adjunct Instructors to teach BS degree level coursework. Depending on qualifications, subjects taught could include: Automotive Foundations, Automotive Marketing and Distribution, Automotive Accounting, Automotive Culture, Management of Fixed or Variable Operations, Warranty and Customer Relations, or Internet and Social Media Marketing.
A focus on student success is expected. Office hours are required with at least one hour for each class taught. Use of current technology is expected.
This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis.
Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site.
The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest. |

Master's degree in field or closely related area or a master's degree out of field and 18 graduate hours in field.
Faculty Qualification by Tested Experience: The following combinations of education and experience shall be considered qualifying tested experience to teach at the baccalaureate level (3XX, 4XX): - A master's, or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor's degree in field and three years of relevant industry experience directly related to course taught. - A bachelor's degree in field and five years of relevant industry experience directly related to course taught. |

| Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
Teach Auto Management course(s).
Responsible for teaching Auto Management course objectives according to established guidelines.
Ability to use Microsoft Office and other programs as needed.
Cultivate an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically.
Faculty members also have professional responsibilities, which may include but are not limited to keeping regularly posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students) and participation in traditional functions that have academic significance (i.e., reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an online environment.
Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
