Job Summary

Excelligence Learning Corporation is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead operations at our Gardner, Kansas manufacturing facility. Our team produces non-toxic, child-safe paints, liquid watercolors, glues, and other educational art materialsdistributed throughout North America.

This position is responsible for supervising daily manufacturing operations, leading production employees, maintaining quality standards, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing leadership experience and a strong understanding of batch-processing operations.

Preferred Qualifications



  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a batch-processing environment
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in paint, coatings, adhesives, chemicals, or other liquid manufacturing operations
  • Working knowledge of production scheduling, inventory control, and quality systems
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and chemical handling practices
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, chemical handling procedures, and company safety policies
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives preferred


Key Responsibilities



  • Coordinate staffing and work assignments to meet production schedules and customer demand
  • Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and production goals
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals
  • Monitor workflow, labor utilization, and production output
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, chemical handling procedures, company safety policies, and quality standards
  • Coordinate inventory usage and raw material control
  • Partner with maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
  • Maintain production and inventory records
